As the name implies personal grants help us finance our personal expenses. This is a very broad grant category where the grant amounts can be very high. These programs were invented to help you pay off expenses related to your everyday needs.

Personal Grants

Individual Grants

The personal grants category covers many different needs including, but not limited to: senior needs, children needs, women assistance, medical needs, transportation assistance, disability needs, debt assistance needs, and life related needs. It is not uncommon to receive help with paying off mortgages and other bills.

As you can see these personal grants span many different levels of living expenses. These programs work at individual level only, and therefore there are requirements and conditions people must meet in order to apply. For example, senior assistance is given to those citizens who can qualify for a personal grants dedicated to Americans over the age of 65. Every personal grant will have to have a reason for disbursement and you can not just apply because you need money. The good news is that not only applications who are in financial need will receive grants. Very often you do not have to be considered a low income applicant in order to be eligible for personal grants.

As of now there is no real limit how much money can individuals receive from personal grants. It is known to receive up to $50,000 per grant. Just like with others, this money does not have to be paid off making it a great program to help you with personal related needs. Your success will depend on how well you will research these programs and make yourself eligible for them. Keep checking out website as this will be the first section we are going to expand on next making delivering personal grants to you a priority. We understand during recessions personal financial aid is the most important to citizens so we want to concentrate on it. For personal college grants please visit our College Grants section.

Housing Grants
Housing assistance might be one of the most important components of personal grants. Housing help is delivered to people who can not afford it. Very often single mothers, or families in the low income categories receive free housing. If free housing is not available there are program that will be most of the housing expenses. One of those program is called section 8. It is a very well known program that provided affordable housing. For more information on section 8 please visit your state housing assistance center, or read more here

Women Grants
Women assistance is designed for females. The main department responsible for female related program is Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This department contains many assistance programs for women. It is worth checking out Department of Health and Human Services online to see what they have to offer.

Women who want to pursue a business career, or start their own business should check out Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization programs in the DHHS. They sponsor women entrepreneurs seeking to grow their businesses.

Transportation Grants
As the transportation costs increases the federal government realized the money is required to pay for these costs. Low income families who live in the city and commute to work into suburbs can qualify for personal grants. These personal grants will pay for their transportation. Besides low income families people with disabilities can qualify for transportation assistance. Reverse commute assistance program is another program that will pay for transportation.

Senior Grants
Health, education, transportation, food, housing, safety, and other needs are given to senior citizens as they account for a big portion of US population. There are two very famous programs in this category: The Capital Assistance Program for Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities.

Disability Grants
Sick and disable people can count on the federal government to receive financial help as well. The idea here is simply to make a better life for those disadvantaged citizens. The financial assistance does not have to be repaid and it can be used in any other way to make the applicants life better.

Debt Assistance Grants
Debt assistance needs are also offered by the federal organizations. Very often citizens require help paying off your mortgage, perform foreclosure mediation, pay bills, and regulate debt. That's when debt programs come in and help Americans reduce debt.

Children Grants
Children needs are mostly related to education where the federal government pays their education. Very often states offer personal grants to single mothers in low income families. The money is dedicated towards the kids.

Minority Grants
Minority needs can also be classified under personal grants as the money goes to minority individuals. Both Grant for Minority Women and Foundation Grant offer money to women as they can be considered minorities. The application process for this program is very long and lots of documentation is required in order to be considered and granted the award.

Personal grants allow you to refocus your life. Instead of trying to figure out how to pay off your bills, or other expenses you focus on your business, career, or education. That's why this program is very often referred to as an end struggle program. Research very well what is available to you as almost every American is eligible for some kind of a deal.
