grants when they return to civilian life. They can claim help to continue their education, buy a vehicle, build a house or start a small business. They will be eligible to get all the grants under the normal women grants category, military personnel category and women veteran’s category. Additional to this they can easily claim community based and other war oriented grants too. These grants are given to them in honor of their service and bravery and to improve their lifestyle and help their siblings and family members come up in life.

Automobiles and adaptive Equipment grant is provided for disabled women veterans to get a vehicle. Though this grant is given for all disabled military personnel women receive first preference. The women veteran applying for this grant should submit their disability certificate to claim the grant. She must have been disabled while in service or due to other reasons in the period of service. This grant is given to women who were discharged from military services due to disability too. The money given through this grant can be used to buy a new vehicle which is easy to use for them or to modify their current vehicle to suit their special needs. Veterans should not apply for more than two vehicle grants in four year time. The application for these grants can be filled online or got directly from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Washington.

The same department can be contacted to get educational assistance for women veterans or their children. The Post – 9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance provides up to $2000 for the discharged women veterans educational allowance. They undertake a certification test or use the money for their college fees. Based on the need the woman emphasizes and her military records, they receive partial to full funding for education. Women veterans can claim housing allowance for two to three years after they have retired from their service under this program. This program offers many grants to the families of the women veterans who had died during their service too.

Women veterans who serve in war for a period of 90 days and received serious injuries at the time are given a pension for the rest of their life time under the Pension for Non-Service Connected Disability for Veterans scheme. This pension can be used according to their will. The person should have been discharged in a proper way from the military due to a disability caused during the 90 day war service to get this pension. Very rich people with lot of wealth are not given this pension. Women who fall under mediocre income salary get this grant for the rest of their life time.

Women veterans who like to continue their study in the college are eligible for numerous community and NGO related grants apart from the federal grants. So women veterans who like to return to civilian life can do so without any hesitation about their financial status. There is lot of help available in the form of grants and assistance.
